repeated miscarriages - what is the treatment

I am 30 years old. I had a successful pregnancy at 24. I had 3 consecutive miscarriages in the last year and a half. The pattern was the same in all three case, lower progesterone levels.  After the first miscarriage , I was asked to take baby aspirin and prometrium with the subsequent pregnancy. I anyway miscarried. I was referred to a reproductive endocrinologist. He checked for genetic disorders in both me and my husband. He did the clomid challenge test , checked for abnormalities in the uterine wall , checked thyroid level , blood sugar. Everything came back normal. The next time I got pregnant , he put me on heparin shots along with prometrium and baby aspirin. No use , I miscarried again.
We are trying to concieve again. This is the line of treatment suggested by my doc. He wants to take femara , injectible fertility drugs followed by ovadril shots. He is also recommending IUI , will start progesterone supplements and heparin shots after I get a positive pregnancy result.  He is not guaranteeing success with this treatment also.
My questions are : 1.I did not need help getting pregnant before. In all 3 cases I got naturally pregnant within 2 or 3 cycles. Do I really need these fertility drugs ? What if I try to naturally get pregnant and then start progesterone supplements after that ?
2. What good are these drugs if they are not going to assure me that I wont miscarry?
I feel my doctor is just pattern matching and is not trying to actually solve my problem. It has worked for other people , so you try it as well . Will I be taking a big chance by not following this fertility treatment ? Please help .

Personally, I think when all else has failed to produce a healthy pregnancy for you, I would try about anything new that a medical professional recommended. What kind of blood clotting disorder is he using the heparin for? I wish you the best in whatever you decide.

i think you know best what to do. you have motherly instincts. in my opinion, if you had low progesterone then once you are pregnant you should take the progesterone supplement and that should be it. nothing else before or during the pregnancy.
i recently miscarried myself and i am so sorry for your losses.
remember, god or nature which ever you prefer, has its own system for these things and with all these fertility drugs, it is very possible that you could have a very unhealthy baby or if you were meant to have a healthy one this time, you could have A LOT of babies.
i would do it as natural as possible.
