Anyone for tremors??

Hi all,

I apologise for constantly posting questions rather than contributing but i am incredibly short on answers at the moment and fear i may be slowly going insane.

What are peoples experiences of tremors with ms??? do you get them in one area, for long or short periods of time etc?

I currently have a mild (although it sure doesn't feel mild to me). it came on slowly over about a week and a half and initially felt like it was in my arms (i brushed it off and blamed my ventolin). for the last 3 days it has been throughout my whole body and although nothing moves when im at rest it feels like a buzzing sensation through my whole body!
it has also been accompanied by transient paresthesia mainly down the left side but occasionally all over.

Is this someone anyone has ever experienced?

M x

For years i was telling my dr about this weird feeling of vibrating through out my entire body, i felt like i was shaking but it wasn't visible. About 3 years later the obvious tremors came, i did accidently discover a way to see the invisible tremor. For reasons that are unknown to me now, i placed a thin peice of paper (a ticket) between my lips, it vibrated just like what i could feel so the none visible became visible.

Quix explained that holding a peice of paper in out stretched hand should also produce this affect, ha ha common diagnostic tool it seems, have a go seeing if you can see your vibration, it was a liberating experience for me. There is a lot of posts about tremors, if you type tremors in the 'search this site box' a lot should come up.

Cheers......JJ

You can also tell by holding your teeth together with only slight pressure. They will have a rhythmic chatter to them. I only had tremors for about a month in my right arm only, so I'm no expert on it. I will say that spasticity produces the same results.

In fact, I gauge how bad my spasticity is, by how much space is generated between my teeth.
My rhythm is 4 quick chatters, 1 hard clench, 3 super quick chatters, and then 1 hard clench. If that makes any sense. When my spasticity was nearly (I thought it was gone, but was sadly mistaken) gone last week, my teeth barely chattered at all.

What I was getting at, is that spasticity causes a tremor in the body as well. The worse the tremor is (at least for me) the worse the spasticity.

Good luck on finding the right answers, I hope I haven't thrown you off with the whole spasticity thing.

Johnny

Btw, I don't have ms, just a lot of Ms type symptoms

Hi I'm not dx at the moment but I have tremors as well it mainly started in my right hand and eventually moved over to my left hand.....With in the last two months or so both legs and feet tremor ..When I'm cross my legs sitting down my feet will bounce to their own beat also if I raise my legs in the air they tremor as well...My neuro dr said that it's definitely something with the cerebellum..still waiting on mri..

Also you mentioned the all over buzzing I too get that I know when I get up if it's going to be a bad day...because I wake up with that all over buzzing feeling...

I usually will have it for day or two and it goes away and then it comes back...

Take care,
Kelly
