Weather or not I ge dx with MS, I am able to tell all of you my concerns and I know someone is here to listen and lend support. I am very thankful to have found this place. I consider each and everyone of you a blessing in my life. Thank you for becoming my extended family.
Love and Blessings,

Number one....I am so glad to see your post, but secondly, sorry to hear that you are feeling like crud. God Bless you.
You have recevied some great answers to your questions and I am certainly glad to hear that your appointment has been moved to the 28th.Thank goodness...a doctor that is listening...extremely important.
As for the pain meds, maybe they started you on too high of a dose. You cutting them in half and actually taking them on a regular basis, may help more with the pain. Not only takin them when you are in pain, but keeping a constant level in your system, which seems to have more affect. If you still cannot tolerate this drug, there are others less powerful, that your doctor may want to try you on.
We are with you Beth, every step of the way, if you just allow us...you know that. I hope that you will post often and keep us in the loop. Even if it's a one liner to say I am feeling better today or today is a rought day. Anything to keep you communicating with us, so we can give you the support you need. That's what we are here for sweetheart.
Best Wishes. Please let us know how the appiontment goes. We DO CARE.
Heather
Hi, Beth.
Hon, since you have tried taking the meds with, and without food, I'm thinking, you're like me, and extremely sensitive to meds, call your doc, let them know you cannot tolerate the med, see if there is something else they can prescribe. You wouldn't believe how many meds I went through before I found one I could tolerate. And even that one causes my muscles to tighten up so bad, I wake each morning in terrible pain.
I'll keep praying, and I hope the time passes quickly 'til your appt. date arrives.
Hugs
Sheila
Thank you all for your kind words of encourgement. I really need them.
Yorkie.........I have tried taking meds with and without food. I just do better cutting them in half. Still makes me feel strange.
Wingnut............thanks for the prayers and hugs.
Vessel...........i googled hemplegia migraine..........sounds like a lot of the symptoms I have. Will mention to doc. Standing in agreement that my body will line up with the word of our Lord. This is my prayer for each and everyone of you also.
Will check back in tomorrow.
Blessings,
Beth
I hate to hear you have all that going on, been there and got the t-shirt.
Have you had any problems with your thyroid, with you having the night sweats and all, and normally with the thyroid problems you have muscle spasms or cramps (due to low potassium and iodine levels) you can take sea kelp which is a natural vitamin if it is your thyroid get that checked with the night sweats and get better... Keep telling yourself and each pain, that this too shall pass... also my neuro thought i was having hemplegia migraine that can cause some of the same symptoms you described and she put me on topamax, but now i take that for the seizures I have.
I just pray that the pain doesn't last long for you, and you're back to normal (what we consider noraml that is...) I will be praying for you tonite....
Peace to every situation and strength and wholeness to every part pf your body that is not lining up with your faith and the "Word".
Take care of you...
Vessel
Hi, Beth.
I hadn't been on in a long time either. I am so sorry that you are in so much pain.
I'm glad your EKG came out fine. And I'm really glad your Neuro moved your appt. up.
I have Ankylosing Spondylitis, and if I stay in bed too long, my neck muscles tighten up. (My arms, as well, just below the shoulder it will feel like someone grabbed me really hard) I was in bed for about a year & a half, before the doctors figured out the nerves in my spine were affected.
Anyway, I am doing a little bit of PT each day, and one thing that helps with the neck pain, is gentle resistance exercise. If you can gently stretch your neck to one side, a few times each day, maybe it will help relax the muscles. If it helps, you could try doing some resistance with Pilate's bands. Just very gently.
I understand what you mean about the pain meds making you sick. Can you take it with food? I started out cutting my meds in half, then in time, worked my way up to the full dose. I am in pain, 24/7, but it isn't nearly as bad as it was before.
No, hon, you're not alone. We understand.
Hugs,
Sheila
I am so sorry that you're having such a rotten, painful week! My goodness, you deserve a break one of these days---and SOON!
I'm glad that they moved your appointment up, but I really wish it was sooner, as I bet you do....
I really don't know what else to say except that I'll say a few prayers for you so that you might get some peace....
HUGS!
Tammy
