Thanks you guys! I'll keep you posted on how it goes......
Rita
Hi Rita,
I hope it works for you. The only other on the forum I can think of with long-term GI problems is yorkieville, though I don't know her dx. Just know she has problems.
Bring on Monday! And, wishing you well!

That sounds good Rita, 90-95% gives a great hope for getting better. So good luck on Monday!
My best,
Dagun
Thanks for your input you guys! I'm sorry that either of you has had to deal with this, for any amount of time.
Dagun - I'm sorry ... I must have missed when you posted about Gastroparesis a few months ago, or I would have tried to contact you. I'm glad whatever you had was relatively mild, and that it resolved on its own. I hope you never have to deal with it again .....
GG - sounds like your problems with it have also resolved on their own? I hope so, and I hope neither of you have had to deal with this for an extended time or had it be very severe when you did have it.
Mine is a permanent issue, courtesy of the MS. Portions of my small intestine no longer work as well. It's a difficult condition to treat. There aren't many medications available, and they usually seem to become less effective the longer you are on them.
I'm at the point where trying the Botox injections is the next step. It seems to help 90-95% of the people who try it, so hopefully it will work for me. Getting it done Monday, so we will soon find out .. ;-).

Hey, Rita!
I've had gastroparesis in the past, but I know nothing of Botox injections for the GI tract. :-(
Sorry you're going through this...
Hi Rita,
I wrote a post here few months ago asking about Gastroparesis, no one knew about it. I think I might have had it for a little while when I was in a flare, but if it was that, it was very mild. So I did not read much about it, or at least not enaugh to know the answer to your question. I hope you find someone who knows and I hope you get better soon.
My best,
Dagun
Bump, just to give it one more shot :-)
