This Forum is all about healthly discussions. Sharing our experiences with each other and offering comfort to those in need. We all admit to not being Neurologists, so we all follow the rule of "Check with your doctor, they know best." (Well some doctor's do...this has been the subject of much discussion about those that seem alittle on the "idiot side." Every profession has those.)
One rule that we all must follow is to never launch a personal attack on someone's post or the information contained therein. Especially a personal attack on someone's character. I do recommend that if you feel the need to discuss things in more depth that you may perceive as being just on the border...you may want to have the discussion in the "Private Message" part of the Forum. That way the other person has the option of "deleting" the private message, if they find it "on the edge" of what they feel comfortable with. (I am talking about discussing diseases, with no personal attacks on someone's charater.) Again, we always encourage friendship and healthly discussions on the Forum. We are all in need of something and this Forum provides us a place to come and discuss our concerns and ask questions.
We are all human and as humans we all have this inborn desire to seek out the company of others. Companionship, trust and sometimes a soft shoulder to lean on, to discuss our fears. Often wanting to know about testing and "what to ask the doctor." Here's where our combined experienes can be so helpful to others. These are healthy discussions.
This is a wonderful Forum. I believe one the greatest on the Internet today. Thank you MedHelp for giving us a place to come together to discuss our fears about this disease called MS and on a continual basis, getting the support we need, to again, make it through what might be a difficult day.
Thanks for listening. Everyone have a SUPER DAY.
