Just A Rant

So here I am again,  home when I should be at work.   Went thru a bout of Diverticulitis in March followed by a MS Flare and 3 days IV Solumedrol to be followed again by another attach of Diverticulitis.  Things were starting to even out despite the IV Solumedrol not being too effective.  Back to work,  no missed days for 3 weeks, then teh yahoos At work who were sick forget common sense and stand at your desk hacking up a lung and dont even cover their friggin mouths ( I work in a Drs office as a Nurse, so Really Im not a germaphobic) but come on people, have some courtesy for your fellow workers!   Woke yesterday with a nasty cough, and a raw throat, worked, then up most of nite coughing and feel like I have razors in my throat, so Im home again.  Considered going to work anyway and bearing thru it but then I realized that if I dont rest and take care of this it will begin the whole cyle again.  So here I am, left to wallow in my anger and frustration.

So maybe today, I will take teh time to organize some paperwork and prepare to apply for our mortgage refinancing..which I have put off while trying to work enough to show two full pay stubs.

Of course this illness does not fall under FMLA so the thought is in my mind that they will give me grief over this absence in the long run...

Had some fun making Art out of My MRI Picutres,  will post them for your morning enjoyment...

Hope everyone has a great day.

We should have a chat function in here like on facebook..

Looks very symmetrical to me...and yes it's a pretty brain!
Feels like you need to do something physical to get rid of all that anger (got a punchbag??)..but maybe just writing it down wil help. We are all here for each other so rant, vent etc to your heart's content.

Love Sarah x

Hi RedFlame,  I am using the FMLA provision at work, unfortunatly it does not pay me for time missed, just protects my job.  I dont have disability insurance for short term at work and to apply for ssdi you can tbe working (or at least making more than a certain threshold), which i believe is 900 a month gross.  I am not in a position financially to leave my job and wait the 6 months to maybe be apprved for ssdi and then there is the insurance issue. :(

Maybe someone could try to get a chat room going.

Or a facebook group?

Sorry to hear that you have really had a rough time in the past months.  Since you need to be home often---is there a way you might qualify for partial disability.  Perhaps 70% or something.  I was thinking of FMLA.  I was able to get that when I was working in a hospital .

I do think we need a chat room.  There are times that I think it would be easier than writing back and forth about specific issues.
