LOL i think i've been lucky to miss it, sounds as dull as sitting through economic lectures, great way to get some zzzzzz. Might be a bit of cheeky question but do some of these companies think patients are stupid and so desperate they leave their brains in a jar by the bed?
Just a thought...........JJ
I think it is in poor taste to trash talk other drug options and use paying customers to promote a single therapy.
I think it made Tybasri sound like a no-brainer lifelong miracle of choice to treat MS with no more risk than any other treatment (despite that disclaimer type reading that was dry enough to mop up the Mississippi).
I think the advocates told their stories to showcase the drug rather than to share life with MS. As you say, too much drug focus and too little people focus.
I think that the "testimonials" might have been required to make some mention of heat sensitivity so they could put an audience drawing tag on the presentation.
I think I have heard better answers to all the questions right here on the forum.
I think this is the very first time Lulu has gone away from a presentation empty.
I almost hung up early but decided to keep listening when they started the Q&A part. I don't quite regret the time spent. I do wish I had listened from bed. I might be asleep now.
Thanks for that final clarification Lu. I could have gotten into big trouble there!

This was the first tysabri teleconference I have listened to. I think I have done one for all the other drugs. This is the first time that anyone read the entire warnings and contraditions and side effects of the drug. Sorry, but I felt like it was story time at the library in the children's dept.
I've been to live tysabri talks and there is little focus on the drug and more about reaching out to the PwMS. I had heard the lesions effect comment before.
The quesiton that I asked was for the nurse and if she could explain why MS patients are heat sensitive. It felt like the very abbreviated answer was given. Many of the questions felt like they were staged/canned.
Maybe I am just tired and crabby?
What did you think? I mean about the teleconference and not if I'm crabby!
Lu
Ditto.
I did notice the mention that people with a high degree of inflammation or lots of active lesions were the ones most likely to experience measurable symptom relief after starting Tysabri. Of course, both advocates (patient spokespersons) were in this category.
You probably were aware of that Lulu. I'm not up to par on some of the drugs. Do the Tysabri teleconferences all go like this one?
Mary
I just finished the hour and have nothing new to report. Nothing. From my perspective, this was an hour long commercial for Tysabri.
ok folks - this one starts in 20 minutes. I hope you can tune in.
bump to go with sailorsong's post on summer heat
