Neck Pain

I can tell when I get muscle spasms in my back and legs but for last few days have had a feeling on the back of my neck like someone hung a 20# purse around it and I had to lug it around all day..........

Trying to decide if its MS spasms or what.  It comes and goes, this time, its been here for a few days, and eventually it will go away, to come back again.  My usual pain med/spasm med cocktail doesn't touch it, nor does Aleve or my other goodies.  If it is, I'll survive I guess til I see him on the 1st but if that's not what it is, not going to bother him.

The other thought I had was that its my foot brace and has thrown off my balance but my foot therapist says no.?

Anyone else have this?  I know I've seen posts for neck pain but never paid much attention as they didn't seem to describe this.

HI TeeTee!
I got epidural injections for the 1st time last year - I'm still benefitting from them! I don't know why I waited and suffered for so many years! Life saver for sure! Glad yours work too!

Hey Sarah,

I have neck problems (herniations, spurring, and so on). My problems can be worse at any given time. Always exacerbated by absolutely anything, purse, turning it, working out, you name it. There really is no rhyme or reason to mine. I never associated any of it to MS for me personally.

Any chance you have something going on in there aggrevating the nerves? What's your c-spine look like? I cannot sit for long, nor can I watch tv in bed - if that's any help at all. If by chance it's nervy (i.e., the not giving up you mention) then anti-inflammatory steady may help a hair, and a fair share of lowering your shoulders and stretching (super slow). It's horrible for sure - I can relate.Hope it backs down soon!

thanks guys, I am not enjoying it, but if I up the neurontin/baclofen, will be in bed all day!  LOL

its like a spasm that won't "turn loose" for lack of a better explanation.  Will hope it stays away, it was gone this morning when I got up but today the eye muscles feel "twisted", and making focus hard.............have a good week-end!

I have neck problems on and off too, and think it must be MS, as mine can just come out of nowhere and then just suddenly go.
