Any advice?

I really need to hear some opinions. I have been dx with fibromyalgia since 10/07, but I have found that a lot of people on this forum are knowledgable on many topics. For three days I have had increased tingling, electric and throbbing pain, and swelling all in my feet, ankles, and hands. It is a very strange feeling. I left a message for my doctor. What could be causing this?

Thank you for your advice. My doctor said that the swelling is from my meds. To answer Ada's questions, My blood pressure fluxuates, but is usually very low. I have had blue hands and feet and white hands and feet, but not like I saw online where the finger tips change color. I am having goofy memory lapses, now. I was out of town this weekend and when I came home I could not remember how to change the tv channel on my remote (that I have had for years). I quietly asked my 10 yr old and told her not to mention it to anyone, for they already worry so much. I hope you all have a great week!

Sweetie, I am with Julia on this, I think there is something else going on.  Silly question, does your skin feel like it is splitting open where you are swollen?  How is your blood pressure?  Do you have any color changes in your legs, knees, ankles, feet, etc?

I sure hope your Dr gets back to ya on this one.  Sounds like a consult is in order.  Keep me posted.

Love,

Ada

Hi - I am also diagnosed w/ FM for 12 years - then suddenly in Oct. '07 I had the onset of a lot of new symptoms including all those you list.

A visit to the local Neuro and then a visit to Mayo in Feb. left me with a re-diagnoses of FM and "come back when you get worse."

This forum is very informative and everyone is so caring.  You will learn a lot. There are a lot of things including FM, MS and all of its mimics that can cause those symptoms you speak of.

I have a strong feeling that there is something else going on with me other than the FM.

You will find that it may take some time to figure out exactly what is causing those symptoms.  I wish you best -  Hang in there!    : )
