Stuck Wondering

Well, by all outward glances most people think I"m a happy healthy 30 yr old women. The truth is quite opposite. I've started exhibiting signs of neurological problems as of about a year or so ago. I have painful surges that go through my head. I have tingling "crawling" sensations that occur when I get stressed. I wake up with sharp pains in my hands, feet arms coupled with aches. They can start and stop at any time. I find myself tired a lot, but at night it's hard to sleep. I have a serious "going" problem. My friends laugh at me b/c I'll go urinate like 4-5 times in an hour. I also have cramping pain that always is in my lower back, it feels like a heavy period but rarely ever lets up. It's starting to break me down. I am so scared of what I might be facing. My doctor thinks I am showing signs of having MS. I have found myself so depressed that I cry daily. I cry from being frustrated, I cry b/c of the pain and I cry b/c I don't know what is wrong with me, only that I know SOMETHING IS WRONG. I have very little living family left, no way to trace whether anyone has had MS in our history. I do know Fibromyalgia exists. However I don't know if these are the same symptoms. I ran across this site, and decided to write you on the forum to see if anyone can help me shed some light on my symptoms or give me some advice. I am seeing my regular doctor on May 4th. So far she has be on Hydrocodone and Soma, I also suffer from Torticollis a condition in my neck that causes painful muscle spasms. Even with this medication, I am still in constant pain. The other day I woke up and my arms were cramping from my finger tips all the way up to my shoulders, this time, in both arms. For three hours I could do nothing but lay in a ball and cry. It's ruling my life. I could use some support.

Hi, and welcome to the MS forum. I see that you posted this also on the Neurology Forum.

You said you have an appointment with your regular doctor on May 4th. Have you seen any other specialist regarding your symptoms?

Some of your symptoms do sound neurological but as you know we cannot diagnose you over the internet. What we do have to offer is support and information. If you haven't already noticed our Health Pages, they can be found on this page at the upper right corner of the page, next to the yellow icon. these pages contain a wealth of information.

One of these Health Pages deals with muscle and spasticity. You might find some answers in this pages.  Here is the link to that specific page:

http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Multiple-Sclerosis/Muscle-Tone-And-Spasticity/show/159?cid=36

Before you go the May 4th appointment you might want to look at the Health Page concerning making a timeline of your symptoms and what helps your pain and what makes it worse.

We are here to provide support and information so let us know hoe things go.

One word about posting. Many of us on the boards have vision difficulties so in the future it would be helpful if you broke up your posts into smaller paragraphs ,as I have done here. It's easier to read and may result in more responses if others can read it.

Wishing you luck and relief from your pain.
