Second Dose Tonight

Hi, Gang~

I'm on the Neurology floor of the hospital I work for ina private room, of course (it pays to work in bed management!). I am awaiting my second 1 gram dose of Solu-Medrol no thanks to my (now former) neuro, but rather to my favorite ER doc whom Icalled ahead to make sure he'd see me and would still be working after my afternoon shift.

AFter my fave doc started the Solu-Medrol in EC, he made sure it was oredered on the floor. So, here I wait, getting better and better. None the closer to any diagnosis, but getting better.

Peace,

Zilla*

Thanks for all the responses, everyone!

I'm back, stronger than I've been in a long time, although tired and have not much stamina.  Will respond to you all soon.

Thanks so much for your notes!!

Love and peace,

Hurry up and get back to us - I HAVE to know how you taught that racoon to whistle! lol

Seriously Z, I don't know what led up to you getting here. I've only been off the forum since Friday.  I pray you are in good hands.

So glad to see you!

This must be the month to drop neuros LOL. I've decided to try Rita's  (cosmobirdy) neuro because I'm sick of mine not doing anything LOL. I heard he can think outside the box. Still waiting on the my Gp to write the referral letter.

I hope you recover fast and you start feeling like your normal bubbly self.

Maybe once this is all over and we get DX, we can have our own episode on Mystery Diagnosis. ☺

What is this about teaching a racoon to whistle? lmao

Glad you're getting the solumedrol.  It helped me a bunch, at least for a bit, with my severe TN pain.

Hi Zilla,
I am so sorry to hear you are back in the hospital.  You have to be beyond tired of this whole thing.

I hope the ER doctor will get something done for you.  I was in the ER on Friday.  Not a fun thing.

Hope you start feeling better soon.

Hi Zilla,
It is good to see you pop up here - your presence lifts all of our spirits, even if it is to tell us the latest round of non-dx news.  I'm with Q - why would they give you the solumedrol is the doc didn't think this was MS?

Behave yourself - are you a good patient?  You better be since everyone there knows you.

lots of hugs,
Lulu

Again????!!  What is making you dump Dr. L?   What does Doc ER think?  I suspect that he suspects MS or he wouldn't be using this treatment.  I don't know of any other disease it is used on - not at these doses.

Did this relapse follow the every 3-month routine?  Is it the same as always with the droopy face and leg weakness?  Are your reflexes off the charts?

Did you hear that I blew out my ankle and broke my leg doing a dive into the floor from a rocking chair?

Have you ever taught a raccoon to whistle successfully?

Is there any light at the end of the diagnostic tunnel for you?

Inquiring minds do want to know.

Hey, Z!

Well, at least you're getting waited on and taken care of. Maybe this is finally the time when whatever it is decides to show its hand. You make light of being in the hosp, but I know you wouldn't be there if your attack or symptoms weren't quite bad.

Take care of YOU!  Will PM you.

Love, *

Hi Zilla!  You have really advocated for yourself and made sure you were treated.   Good for you!   I hope that the solumedrol continues to help you feel better and stronger.

I see that  you are from Detroit.  I live in Ann Arbor and have found really good MS SPecialists at UofM.

Congrats for taking care of you
