I now have another appointment this week. It is for PT. This makes the third week in a row that I have had appointments with the VA.
I definitely need a break from these appointments. I'm too worn out to get anything done in the area of house work and am spending the entire weekend resting up from all of the appointments.

Wow Sarah, that sounded very rough :( I hop you are feeling better and taking care of yourself.
The weather here in upstate NY has been crazy following a week of temps in the 40's and 50's we suddenly hit a couple of days in the 90's. My body did not react well to the sudden heat and humidity. My feet swelled up and my leg spasticity became very stiff. I once again had great difficulty walking. It has now cooled off again but my feet are still swollen and my leg is very tight. Physical therapy tomorrow and I will get stretched which always helps!
I want to wish everybody good luck with your Tysabri infusions. I am so happy to hear that it seems to be working well for you all.
Laura, you sound productively busy as always and I sure admire your stamina!
Dennis, I am very anxious to hear about how your PTSD session went and hope things go well on your session with the nurse.
Here's to a great week...
Hugs,
Deb
I am awaiting the neurologist office to call me with an appointment :)
I am away for meetings at work so that is keeping my mind busy until then. :)
Hi all! Sarah that sounds blissful to sit at the window and watch the wildlife.
Kyle - keep talking and you'll know the right thing for you.
Imm- hope that launch happens soon, the homecoming sounds fabulous
Candy - I'm seeing a urologist today to disucss botox so stay tuned.
Dennis - I want to read your PTSD post - I am hoping it went well and you are comfortable and feel respected with the treatment.
I am off to Cbus today for my Tysabri at 11:30 and then over to a urology consult at 2:30. Neuro (and other wise MSers) recommend I consider botox for my bladder. I'll be sure to ask if they can use any extra on other places! LOL (just kidding!!)
Tonight there is a thank you dinner for our Alumni chapter which sponsors my MS walk team.
Tomorrow - I have taken a day off work to attend an MS luncheon in Cinci area and then the same speaker will be in my town for the dinner chat. I've worked with the rep to get this speaker in on PT for MS - she is nationaly known for her MS work. Expect notes from me when its done.
The President will be in Cincinnati on Thursday and I am attending a special reception for her .... yes, HER. It is the prez of NMSS, and I am wanting to hear what she has to share. I have not had this opportunity before - now if only I can find my invitation to remind me where the event is taking place.
Yes, there are lots of lunches and dinners on my schedule this week - that's pretty crazy.
hugs to all, Laura
you better take good care of yourself Sarah..... we need you to be good. I am glad that the tysabri is going well, and good for you to wait for more info....
((HUGS))

Wow! That's quite a reaction. I hope you're feeling better now. Where you live sounds so tranquil. I'm jealous. Lol.
I'm glad your Tysabri has settled down too. Have a great week,
Corrie
Hope you are feeling better now. Sounds like you might be getting as heat sensitive as I am. I sure hope not!
Dennis
Today was my PTSD clinic session (I'll write about that separately) and tomorrow is appointment with CBOC nurse. Not looking forward to that as I feel it will be confrontational to an extent.

Gosh darn, walked over to the neighborhood farm for a coffee and chat with my friend, and almost passed out at her kitchen table. They had to bring me home and dump me in the shower! That's a first!
It did not seem that hot, was a nice breeze, probably in low 70's if that, partial sun and I did pace myself, with brace and cane (don't cound the mud puddle I stepped in) and I got ickier and icker and finally she said, you don't look good, you are going home!
Better now, but that's the fastest and worse heat reaction I've ever had......
I envy the moose sightings, Sarah! I'd probably be a bit more like you and wait a while. It does have a lot of data on its use out there, but I probably couldn't shake the feeling of buying a new car the first year that model's released.
Kyle, I hope you have a constructive talk with your doctor (sounds like you have great communication with him from what I remember. Forgive the oopsie if that not accurate). With the new JCV+ result, I take it Tecfidera is pulling ahead in your books? I call them (the quarterly exams with the head honcho) my 5,000 tune-up too! And you're right. There's a lot of data on its use out there, but I guess there are those of the (theoretically) 'early adopter' mindset and those of the 'let's not rush into things' mindset. Takes all kinds, as they say!
Our jaunt to Mayo is a bit delayed as we wait for the gentleman's new glasses to arrive (they were broken in a rather spectacular RC helicopter incident at the weekend). We may be leaving tomorrow afternoon for the week though. Hope so! Need to get out of Dodge for a bit.
My Tysabri "juice box" was on Saturday. Other than that nothing going on this week. I'm going to have the Tysabri v. Tecfidera discussion with my doc at the end of this month when I go in for my 6 month/6,000 mile check up. My blood is now JCV + but my CSF is still clean. We'll See
As to Tecfidera's safety profile, they have been using it in Europe ro treat psoriasis for 10 years so I'm not concerned.
