Special Moments

Now some of you may have experienced stress incontinence in all forms ie: coughing, running, squatting.

But when you yell while standing up? LOL! Yep, yep! That's happened to me!

Now as I'm talking to my neighbor across the street, a stream of urine is running down my leg saturating my pants.

Thank goodness she was older and probably has presbyopia. (I would hope).

Anyone else?

I am now scheduled for my next bladder botox injections the first week of March.  I had it done in late July and have been very happy with the results.  It has only been in the past month or so that I could feel the urges and the past week that the leaks have begun to restart.  It made such a difference for me I would recommend eveyrone - men and women - to discuss the possibility.

I'm happy to answer questions but think I have probably discussed it enough in previous posts that i don't want to over work the subject. Feel free to ask....

LOL Dennis, JJ and GG!

Yes the double/triple pee.  Just when you think you're done, and about to stand up -- you got to empty again.

There were times when it just ran down my leg from gravity. ie: standing up.

I did have the vaginal mesh procedure done in 2011 (I think that was the year).  Told the urologist it didnt work just my past visit this year.  However, the procedure itself did not phase me in the least.  No discomfort whatsoever after surgery.  Just a flop.

JJ's experience more closely mirrors mine.  I don't have stress incontinence unless I'm jumping on a trampoline, and that hasn't happened in years, lol.

I do have incontinence just doing, well, nothing. I've had to seriously cut down on caffeine.  When I do urinate, I sit there for an extra 30-40 seconds, or so, to make sure I'm really done.  I've had experiences where I've gone, done the "paperwork", stood up, pulled up my pants, and dribbled another 1/2 cup.  GRRR!!

Knock on wood but i've never actually experienced stress incontinence from coughing, running, squatting, sneezing, laughing or even yelling, hmmmmm i have been experiencing minor leaks when i wakeboard, for at least a few seasons but i'm not sure if that truly fits 'stress incontinence' though.

I have experienced being down the beach chatting with friends, and with out any warning its just running down my leg..... oh and i wear a bikini, so totally invisible, right? [insert eyes rolling]

For me there is definitely a connection with heat, muscle fatigue below the waist and water for the 'no warning' type of incontinence but generally i get all the typical warning signals and don't always make it to the bathroom in time type, though that's mainly minor puddles and the other is more the tap is running until the tank is empty.......er floods.

Oh just thinking about it has made me realise, that the 'no warning' ones have happened standing, sitting and reclining, so i don't think it makes any difference where my body is in space for it to happen.......it just happens when it happens for me.

Hugs.............JJ

Lisa,

Oh yes I can relate to that, even though it has not included yelling.  Many times I have the leaking while just standing and doing nothing at all.

Once it happened while standing inside a gas station waiting in line to pay for something.  In that case it was the stress from being around a bunch of people. Luckily I was wearing a fair long coat so no one could see my wet pants.

Other times it doesn't even take any stress at all. Many times while just standing next to the counter in my home while waiting for the coffee brewer to fill my cup I had leaked.  I think this probably has to do with the sound of the running water.
