Tinnitus and/or Vascular Tinnitus

Anyone experience tinnitus (ringing in the ear) or vascular tinnitus (pulsing or whooshing sound in the ear) as a symptom?

I have recently begun to experience the pulsing/whooshing in my ears - a little disturbing.  I have dealt with the whine or whistle in my ear for some time...pretty sure they are related to my other symptoms, just wanted to see how common it is.

Thanks!
Chrisy

Not sure if you're going to read this but I have the same problem.  Had a hearing test done by ENT and it is perfect.  One thing that has helped a great deal for me: it could be air in your eustacian tube (probably did not spell that right).  So pop your ears, just hold your nose and blow for as long as possible.  The noise goes away for me and I hope it helps others.  Let me know how it goes.

Tinnitus has effected me since 2000 and subsequently I found I had a pituitary tumor.  The Tinnitus got so bad that I could not sleep.  I did a lot of research and found out to take certain things out of my diet.
1.  No Alcohol
2.  No Cigarettes or be around Cigarette smoke
3.  No Chocolate
4.  No Coffee with Caffeine
5.  Avoid being around loud noises

Now Tinnitus is in the background.  It is constantly there, but it is part of my life and I can sleep and live my life.  I have a problem hearing around loud noises, being in a crowd, in the car listening to someone else.  Other than that I am fine.

I have tinnitus.  I always have ringing or buzzing or humming in my ears.  Worse on the right.  I went to an ENT and they did all the tests and say the ringing and dizziness do not come from the inner ear.

I am going to a new neuro on MOnday. I will bring this up, AGAIN!

I have different types of tinnitus.  I do get the vascular tinnitus.  When I get it, I know my blood pressure is high.  I also get a high-pitched tinnuites which started in one ear and after a few years, it began in the other.  I have sensorineural hearing loss in both ears with mild to moderate hearing loss.  The audiologist recommends hearing aids for both ears, but I can't afford them.

I've also had really weird sounds like a telephone ringing in one of my ears.  I would go to the telephone and pick it up, and discovered that it was all in my head!

Another disconcerting symptom would be complete loss of hearing for a short period of time.  I only heard a low-sounding pitch ring in my ears, and saw people's mouths moving but no sound.

Wow!  My story is exactly the same.  I didn't know there were so many others dealing with the same issues.  Tinnitus in right ear for years, the heart beat, whooshing in my left ear started about a month ago...just went to the VA...no real answers.  Nothing really new there.  Recently swollen nodes under my left ear.  It's been years of dealing with these health issues with no answers...I turned 28 yesterday...and my body feels old.  I feel like I'm at my wits end here!  At least I know I'm not alone.
