Incase your wondering....where oh where is Lu

I'm sure you are wondering where Lulu is. Well, she'll likely have wished I post this with more details but I felt the need to tell you now because it's been a couple days since you've seen her. Thinking if your like me you'd be worried. So here goes..

She's went to the ER, but she is ok. Says she doesn't feel too bad but has the cooties (her words). I've also received word that she's getting treated for bacteria infection. She's going to be on some megadoses IV to kill it and knowing her she'll sneak on her laptop to check in on all of you and see this and will update if there is one, and if she can.

As far as I know the word is still out on exactly what bacteria it is right now, but whatever it is it's made her pretty sick on and off for a couple weeks. As you may know, she's suffered from UTIs a lot lately that never seem to be totally gone so maybe there is a connection.

So for now, go ahead and use this post as the launch pad of thoughts for her she'll see when she gets back to us.

I just reread all your comments - that is some of the best medicine I could ever get.

All the cooties talk reminds me that I actually bought a cooties game last Christmas for the oldest granddaughter.  I remembered it as fun.  

Let me warn you now - don't buy it.  I forgot how many freakin' sixes you have to roll to collect all those legs to win.  And you can't  even cheat with dice rolling and let the little ones win like you can in Candyland.   We sat and rolled those dice over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over  and over and over and over and over  ... you get the idea.

You've been fairly warned, don't get Cooties.

I'm glad you're well enough to be discharged but do they know what a multi-tasker you are? I hope you follow the doc's directions and REST !

Geez, this being sick sure su cks up my time to be with you all!  I've tried to get on sooner but keep getting interupted - no one else understands the right priorities here in the hospital.

Thanks for all the kind words and well wishes - it has seemed strange not being with all of you, but I know you all can take care of each other just fine.

Good news is they are discharging me today and sending me home with a very potent antibiotic - turns out the cootie is e-coli, as we suspected and they had started the initial IV therapy with the proper broad spectrum antibiotic.

There are lots of lessons to be learned here, and I will definitely be sharing them later.

In the meantime I want to wish you all a fun Halloween  weekend, I've already taken the scarey part out of it!
