one more question re; Prednisone...

if I use this for 6 days starting tomorrow...will it effect my test MRI...neuro exam results...which I'm getting in July18th...or does this not change things like your reflexes, balance issues...etc...

I'm also seeing a Dertatologist next Friday...waited for this appt...will it get rid of the rash I have on my face and hands??

I'm abit nervous about starting this if it will hinder the results...I have been waiting for three years for some answers?

do I or not take these pills??

thanks again

OMG! I had that happen to me I had a appt. for a dermatologist for granulomas anularis. It took 3 months to get a appt. by the time I seen her I had the prednisone and it changed it all, in fact it almost was gone so she thinks it psoriasis.  It doesn't even look like psoriasis but after the pred. it got all dry looking.
Maybe you can call your Dermatologist and tell them whats going on first and if they can take up your appt.
Its not worth it having to wait again for another appt, or to get the correct diagnosis.
Its a waste of your time and hope.
Good Luck  & Aloha

Hi, I was on Prednisone for the month of January 08 prior to going to the Mayo Clinic - needless to say I was doing much better by the time my appointment came at Mayo in February, so they didn't see me "at my worse."  I had a difficult time expressing just how bad I was in Dec. , Jan.  -  but had everything down on my timeline.

My opinion is to take the Prednisone if it is causing discomfort, but make sure you take pictures of the rash now.

I'm not really sure about how it might effect the rest of your exam, hopefully someone else like Dr. Quix can answer that for you.

Best wishes,
Julia (dx. Fibromyalgia)
