thanks for your reply. my lawyer says i have a good case with having the other things wrong with me on top of having ms.went to my famly doctor today and he said he would help me in any way he can also. as well as my ner. my lawyer said that most people get denied the first or second time and give up. he said thats what they try to do.he also knows he dont get paid unless i get it.i doubled checked with my ner. today and with my ms and symptoms iam disabled and that iam not to work anymore.i know this takes time both my parents went through this. they also told me to and get medicade. my lawyer put me in the system just a month ago and i got a interview the 30th of this month. on thursday this week. can this be a good thing in this short time?thanks again

What does your attorney say your chances are?

I believe there is a scale they use to measure the amount of disability MS causes you.

As for COPD, high blood pressure, and the other things mentioned; you've been working with them, so they alone wouldn't get you accepted, most likely, but combined with a new diagnosis, it is possible that it would all add up to being approved for disability.

My experience with Social Security Disability is that they send you to a lot of their own doctors, go through your medical records, the form you fill out, and possibly a form filled out by someone who is close enough to see day-to-day how your disability affects your daily life.

That last one I had on a periodic renewal to see if I was still disabled; don't know if it's a part of the first round now or not.

I did find that having an attorney helped me; I was turned down twice before I was approved.

Wishing you well; wish I could wish you wellness instead, and see it happen.

Take care,

Kathy
