tics in my neck

Hi all!
I'm a new member . (my first ms
attack was about 3years ago) . I use interferon beta-1a (cinnovex -->
biosimilar of avonex) since 2years ago .but unfortunately it's about
7months that I developed cervical tics (tics in my neck) - it occurs once per 2-3 minutes and I hearI hear a crackling sound simultaneously.I don't know
whether it's a complication of MS or interferon?- does any body else
have the same problem?is there any cure for such tics?

yours,
Dorna

Dear Farrah ,
especial thanks for your reply.I'v just read the previous posts about muscle twitches.it was helpful.it LOOKS LIKE tourette or it's a real tourette syndrome?.would you tell me more about tourette syndrome?are twitches indicate lesions in my spinal cord?did you experience the tics during the attack or a relaping period?( i have it for 7 months!once per 2-3 minutes)and i also hear a crackling sound during each tic...
have a nice day,
Dorna

Welcome!
we have posted many times about the tics and twitches. Personally, the tics (my head kept on twisting to the side, it looked like Tourettes) were part of my first symptoms, so after the dx was reached, i was put on Grifuclobam, and i stopped taking it once the tics were controlled. I am not on Interferon or Corticosteroids or any other medication like that, well, i've only had two attacks and have been diagnosed for a couple of months and i've been doing great.
Make sure you check out the older posts. There's a lot of information and feedback from other members!
Hope you have a great day!
Farrah
