7 yr old girls neck and back spasms after fever and headache

My daughter developed a severe headaache along with pain and stifness in the neck and spine sometime last friday. She was taken to the emergency room and diagnosed with mild dehydration and was released with the outcome being an unknown virus and sent home.  The day after the headaches are gone but now she has this uncontrolled movement of her neck and back.  She uncontrollably shrugs her shoulders up and down then moves her torso from side to side if releaving tension.  Took her to her pediatrician and she claims she has severe allergies and sever post nasal drip and she has developed this "tick" as part of her trying to scratch or clense her throat and or nose?

She claimed that there were several stages of "tick" children go thru life with and they subside on their own?

This is probably true and i have seen those "ticks" in my other kids and yes they have disappeared but my daughter still has uncontrolled movement in her sleep.   She is now getting the headaches back and the movement are getting stronger and more uncontrolled.  Some say to test her for lime desease?  could this be it.

She has been like this for a week now and at the end of the day she is tired and in pain because of all the movement her body is in..

Im am getting desperate for answers.  Emergency room visits give no satisfaction.  I feel helpless as i see her twis and turn like this all day, only to complain in the night of pain.  I have scheduled a cat scan to see if anything can be revealed.   is there a muscle relaxer or something i can give to ease the spasms while we find the cause..

thanks in advance

Desperate father

I have google it to death!  Her primary care physician adviced us to get a cat scan which is scheduled tomorrow and we have gone ahead and scheduled an appointment with a pediatric neurologist for the 7th of july to follow up the cat scan.  In preparation for the cat scan possibly not finding anything i felt that the neurologist was the best way to go.

These symptoms relate to many different things that can be the cause. From medicines to injuries.  So i googled until i got tired .

Ill hope for the best on the cat scan..  Will come back to post after the tests...

I'm not a doctor but I have seen ticks in my eldest son due to having seizures and stuff. These types of issues need to be dealt with by a specialist. Maybe neurological. I don't want to scare you but it sounds like she needs a good looking over by a specialist. You have every right to ask for multiple opinions if the answers you are getting don't sound right. I don't know if it would be a good to give a muscle relaxing pill. What has the doctors said? You need to call or ask a doctor about this. Let me know what happens. Have you googled anything?
