I currently see a Neurologist for migrains which I been suffering from for a while. My current Neurologist I have only seen 8 times so far but uncertain of their ability to diagnose me properly. They only examined me once in all my visits which was the first visit. The rest of the time they only talk to me about what is going on with my headaches and prescribe medication to help. They recently did a MRI of my brain to see what may be causing complicated migrains where my face tends to droop, and sometimes my speech is impaired. It showed that I have a few tiny foci of T2 prolongation within the white matter of the cerebral hemispheres which are nonspecific. After putting me on Namenda 5mg 3 times a day, my blood pressure started going up to154/108 sometimes a little higher but always the bottom number would be in the 90's or 100's to 120. My headaches got worse with the increase in blood pressure, but reduced some when medication for my heart was adjusted to bring my blood pressure down. The Neurologist told me the MRI didn't show anything even though I got a report over the internet. Also he told me that blood pressure will not cause headaches. At least not when the bottom number is in the 100's below 130. Is this true? I just don't know what to believe from my Neurologist.
