I've been seeing doctors for about two months now, trying to find out what's going on with my body. There's many symptoms, but for the sake of being brief, I'll just name the words that the neurologist has used to describe things.
"Neurogenic bladder"
"Clonus" when he pushes up on my foot
"Hyperreflexia" both sides hitting the knee and the inner elbow
"Babinski reflex"
Significant right side muscle weakness
Temporary hand paralysis
I also have cognitive issues affecting my speech, vision and memory.
All really started 8(ish) months ago.
My brain and cervical spine MRI were clean, though there was a mass found, and from the soft tissue neck MRI they did, it's a 2.5cm tumor on my internal carotid artery just a couple mm above where the carotid splits to two. Said to likely be a schwannoma or paraganglioma.
So the question. With no lesions otherwise from the neck up, could this tumor be causing my symptoms?
I just had a thoracic spine MRI yesterday and haven't seen the doctor since before the soft tissue neck MRI, so until I get to the doctor again in a week I'm biting my nails waiting for answers.
Thanks.
