Cavenoma

i am 48 yrs old recently diagnosed that i have cavernoma on my left pareital sub cortical region , 5.6mm in size symptoms having severe dezziness , vommiting my doctor told me no need for operation bec its too small is my doctor right ? not to removed . what can u adviced for me pls help      Thanks Emy/najilah

Hello and hope you are doing well.

If the cavernoma detected in the MRI is compressing on the cerebrum then it should cause symptoms related to left hemisphere like difficulty walking, weakness, difficulty performing tasks and an inability to talk. So if it not causing any symptoms now, then the neurologist is likely to wait and watch. It needs monitoring at intervals to see that it is not getting bigger or causing compressive symptoms.
