Cold/Wet Feeling on an area on my leg

I have no idea where to post this question of mine.

Often times I have found myself trying to dry off my left leg below the knee because I thought I felt my leg get wet.  It is so annoying!!! There is nothing I could see on my leg and every brush I do, my hand ends up being dry, not wet.  What could be the possible cause of this???

I thought about posting in the Neurology forum as well as skin-ology.  I thought it might be possible it had something to do with nerves in my leg that's causing this wet feeling.

Thanks,

Me

apparently not so for all.  It sounded great, finally getting a definitive answer for the problem, but unfortunately my mum has the rain/water sensation down both her legs, and it is so severe it keeps her up at nights.  She doesnt eat much, and when she does it is only protein. Admittedly she has renal failure and was initially diagnosed with RLS restless leg syndrome which is a nerve problem, but this has since progressed to the water sensation on the limbs.  We are still in search for solutions as this has increased anxiety with my mother and her lack of sleep affects her mentally. The only thing that brings calmness to her is by rubbing her legs, more like stroking as if a cat, this brings temporary relief. So Im  still desperately in search for answers

Hi, my mother had the same problem which progressed to a sensation of rain falling down her legs (when there is no rain) she was diagnosed with 'restless leg syndrome', as for treatment? there is no proven medical treatment but there are suggestions out there, mainly to do with relaxation, you can check it on any search engine.

I have a mild case of Crohn's Disease, which is, according to some medical experts' opinions, an autoimmune disease. I have gotten the cold, wet spot sensation over the past few months. I am checking with some Crohn's Disease Forum members to see if they have any info about the two being related.

Very interesting that you posted here about this and sleep disorders. I have been having this cold spot that is about the size of a 1/2 dollar on the back upper side of my right calf for a while now. I have Idiopathic Hypersomnia with Long Sleep. IH is a lot like Narcolepsy. It's an interesting thought that this might be related.
I have also been having muscle twitches, what feels like nerve shaking, inside tingling, feeling like different areas are "waking up" randomly, 2 outer toes on the right foot go numb, feelings of bugs biting me but no bugs at all in sight.
If you get any information on this, please share!!

I have the same cold wet sensation on the inner side of my left knee. I first started having this sensation about a month after I had a heart cath done. But I have also had the cold wet feeling years earlier that ran down my leg like someone had dripped dold water on me. I'm not sure what is causing this exactly..Did you find anything out or are you still experiencing this problem?

Are we twins? :-)  I too have had leg pains since I can remember. Super warm baths helped but usually not for long after getting out. Although I have found that Aspirin and Tylenol do wonders for the leg cramps. I have been a member of the "wettie" club for 30 years. But mostly it's just the occasional sensation that I get for about 2 seconds every few years. However the last week has seen several flare up episodes, about 3-4 times per day where it feels like a cold fluid gets released just under the skin on the inside joint of my right knee.

Nothing overly painful if you think submerging a body part into ice water for 2 seconds isn't overly painful.  Just really annoying.
