Flashing Head Pain

I have had three car accidents, none of them "my fault".  I have been plagued by severe memory loss, word retrieval & flashing pain in the right side of my head above the ear to behind the eye.  The Neuro-Psych testing showed my IQ as 127 but my ability to access is from below average to low average.  Also, multi-tasking, that I used to do without thinking, is an impossibility for me now.  I have been seeing a massage therapist, but she is now on maternity leave & I haven't found another one as yet.  She did light neck traction which has kept these flashing pains at bay for nearly three years.  They are back.  I have had CTScans, MRI's & X-rays, all to no avail.  A neurologist said there was nothing wrong with me, as did a psychiatrist.  Well, actually, the psychiatrist tried me on yet another new drug which made me want to sleep the day AND night away:(  This was somewhere around 10 different drugs for chronic pain that I have tried, but with the exception of Tylenol #3 & cyclobenzaprine, there is nothing that helped enough to endure the side effects, which included severe mood swings, difficulty urinating, disorientation & hives!  (What is this stuff, anyway?)
At any rate, I am again experiencing these flashing-pain headaches, & nothing seems to help.  They wake me up at night & make it difficult to do anything through the day.  Since lack of ability to focus on tasks is a problem, sometimes even one never mind more, this pain certainly isn't helping.  The Psychologist who did the neuro-psych tests said that my neuro-psych problems are due to a combination of the anti-pain meds & the accidents, not necessarily in that order.  However, no one has been able to "get a picture" of the problem.
Can you offer any possible explanations &/or a solution?  These pains have lasted now into the third consecutive day.  I would really appreciate an answer to this, or at least a response telling me that, yet again, my difficulties are explainable.
Sincerely
Dunph
