5 months ago I was perfectly healthy. I was going to school full time and worked full time, but school was finally finished. I had all my nights and weekneds in front of me to relax and get my social life back....or so I thought.
I was fixing up my house and lifting some heavy equipment when I heard an unnatural pop followed by intense pain. I couldn't move my back for 2 weeks. After my back seemed to have healed I noticed I couldn't feel my toes. Sciatica was no big deal and so I went to the doc and we monitored it.
A few weeks later while wiring an electric system I to eat a tv meal. My whole body began numb and I felt as though I was dissociated with my body. My heart began to beat widely. Was on the verge of blacking out and was rushed to the hospital. Diagnosis: Anxiety / Stress
My docotor ran Lupus, lyme, hiv, other venerals, vitaminan deficiency tests, cortisal, thyroid, liver, kidney, anemia, diabities, heavy metals, and a few other to try to figure out if my one of these could be the cause for this random blackouts.
I went to a caridologist. 1 month Holter showed episodes of tachardia and brachardia nothing to serious, a few little hiccups in the heart but overall normal, eck fine, stress test fine, and even an ultrasound of the heart was fine. I had been on this forum before and asked for a tilt test. He scoffed, but to humor me I got one.
I test positive for vasovagular instability after my heart rate fell to 35 beats on administering nitroglycern. Aha! I thought I finally have a diagnosis. WRONG! This is a system of something else.
I wake up each day with 40% decreased sensation throughout my body. My eyes have focusing problems. My muscles are 30% weaker and I'm very tired.
If I 1.) excercise, 2.) take a really hot shower, 3.) or do something strenously and stressful for a few hours I notice that I begin to completely become numb.
My sensation is down to 80%. My vision blurs. I have a warms burning feeling from the sides of my neck and my upper chest followed by a cold sensation. I lose the ability to have 100% command over my muscles. I feel faint and detached.
In the worse cases I lose all feeling. My vision blurs and begins black out. My chest feels like fire ants and then freezes. I can't move. I can't make sense out of my surroundings. My heart starts to palpitate and beat unevenly. I drift in and out of reality. My body goes into panic mode, but I counteract it by forcing myself to sleep.
What the hell could have taken my life away from me? I had an MRI of the brain no MS and an EEG no seizures. Is this glandular? Could a slipped disc in my neck cause these problems? Is there a blood flow problem to my brain. I greenstick fractured my left jaw and it never healed right (does that effect the vaso nerve or blood flow)? Is it a virus attacking my nervous system?
ITS NOT ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, STRESS I'm glad that some how horrible problems that were easily resolved with SNRI's and that's great. This is a real physical problem (not a neurochemical imbalance). I could find nirvana and still wake up numb and cross eyed.
Has anyone had these problems. HELP. Don't let doctors tell you, you're crazy!!! At first I went along and got loaded up on anti-depressents. No I'm emotionally numb ontop of the physical systems. I toned them down so at least I could be concerned enough to write this and not druel watching some crappy FRI tv when I should be out living my life!!
