I posted here about 3 years ago about the hyperreflexia- currently cervical radiculopathy, saw a neurosurgeon- he is more concerned with the hyperreflexia, positive Hoffman's sign, positive jaw jerk reflex. Had Brain MRI with and without contrast:
Findings: On the gradient recalled images there is area of low
signal within the subcortical white matter of the right temporal
lobe measuring 3 mm. This likely represents an area of
calcification or previous hemorrhage. No acute hemorrhage,
mass, mass effect, hydrocephalus, acute infarction or abnormal
fluid collection.
White matter signal is within normal limits. The pituitary
gland is unremarkable.
The nasal septum is deviated toward the left. Mild mucosal
thickening within the ethmoid sinus bilaterally. Partially
visualized mucosal retention cysts or polyps within the inferior
maxillary sinuses bilaterally.
IMPRESSION: Nonspecific 3 mm area of diminished signal on the
gradient images within the right temporal lobe suggesting
calcification or previous hemorrhage.
Paranasal sinus disease.
What concerns me is "calcification" and "previous hemorrhage" I have an appointment with neurologist but they couldn't get me in until Feb 18th 2013?!?!? SHould I get in somewhere sooner?
