I'm 20 & Worried

I felt a hot/warm sensation in my right ear then it continued to spread to half my head. I then temporarily couldn't see straight or focus with my eyes for about 1 minute, i thought i was losing my eyesight. Now i'm fine though, what's wrong with me? I'm scared. I have been diagnosed with migraines since I was 10 I would have about one migraine every other day, the doctors did a CAT scan, I think, that spinny thing where you have to stay really still. But they didn't find anything then.  This has started happening to me about once every 2 months and I never really paid any attention to it until now. It will happen when i'm doing laundry or when i'm laying in bed watching tv. And anther big issue i don't have health insurance so i haven't gone to the doctor to get this looked at but I just wanna know if it's something serious? Or maybe it's normal and nothing to worry about? Please Help

Hi,
Thats a great feedback from your side .Zomig is Zolmitriptan which is an approved medicine for relief from acute attack of migraine. You got relief with zomid nasal spray that proves that your symptoms are due migraine only.Zolmitriptan can be used for long term for acute attack of migraine with or without aura.Side effects include increased risk of myocardial ischemia and cardiac arrythmia. You should check on your blood pressure and EKG to be on safer side.

Thank you for your response, next time I go to the doctor i will definitly ask for an antimigraine. I used to also use the Zomig Nasal Spray but that would just immediatly put me to sleep and when i would wake up my body would feel sore but my headache was gone. i had also tried other pills to take as soon as i felt the migraine coming but those never really worked. Is there anything i should be worried about with the zomig because that seemed to be the only thing that worked before. I haven't used that since about 4yrs ago but i would definitly ask for that again.

Hi,
Your symptoms are more likely due to aura associated with migraine itself only.Sometimes migraines  likely have an aura about 15 to 30 minutes before your headache begins. Auras may continue after your headache starts or even occur after your headache begins. When you're experiencing an aura, you may see sparkling flashes of light, perceive dazzling zigzag lines in your field of vision, experience slowly spreading blind spots in your vision, feel tingling, pins and needles sensations in one arm or legand rarely, experience weakness or language and speech problems.Use antimigraine medicines during such episode and see the response.
