For approximately 10 years, I have suffered from severe, predominately right-sided chronic neck, upper back, shoulder muscle and nerve pain that radiates down into my hand. I also have some pain in numbness in my right foot, ankle and knee. I was diagnosed with moderate cervicothoracic scoliosis as a child but did not have braces or other treatment. My right shoulder is lower than my left, my head tilts to the right and my right shoulder rolls forward. There has been muscle wasting across my upper right back. The right sternomastoid muscle has been for years very tight and painful. I have had various injections, radio frequency ablation etc over the years for the neck and back pain along with substantial conservative treatments with minimal results.
Around ten years ago, I suffered from a right wrist-drop that took 6 months to recover from with physical therapy. In the following years I have had substantial numbness, tingling, burning and pain including severe muscle tenderness in the thumb pad in mostly my right hand that has greatly impacted my ability to write, type, eat etc. and have been diagnosed with issues with each major nerve resulting in a carpal tunnel release and ulnar decompression then transposition. They have not helped. I also had a right shoulder bursectomy that did not resolve the shoulder pain.
The pain has spread across my head and become much worse in my neck and down the right side of my body the last three months. Every doctor I see has a different opinion and recommendation. I am searching for any insight into what may be causing this.
