Hi.
Can you see if the new mouth rinse that you have taken is alcohol based ? And do you have any dental cavities ? in the case where you have dental cavities, which may not be usually apparent, a moth rinse based in alcohol can irritate the nerves.
Seeing a dentist is a good idea.

you should see a dentist about this.. it sounds like you may have an infection. They can do some exrays and its pretty cheap / painless. When i had an infected tooth, things like sugar, sweets, cold, hot, air, etc caused symptoms like you describe.
Thanks for the reply.
There are no other symptoms. My fiance says the area looks swolen but that was only after I told her about the pain so who knows, I don't see it. I have noticed a difference in the cheek muscles. When I clench my teeth the muscles on that side feels slightly swollen and when I press on the upper part of the muscle I feel a sharp, tingling pain. If you've ever drank something sour like orange juice first thing after brushing your teeth and you get that tingling under your cheek bones, thats where it is and thats the feeling it started with.
Hello.
A coincidence is possible. But the best way to find out is to stop the new pre-brush rinse. If the tingling goes away, you will know where it came from.
Do you hava any other symptoms ? Is there any discoloration of the skin on the area ?
