Pinealoma

The 2-year old son of my neighbour has pinealoma. Doctors said it is prenatal. He had an operation earlier this year to remove the tumor. But it seems now that the tumor grows up again. And he vomits everything he eats, including rice soup and becomes languid. What can be done to save him?

Thanks for your reply.

He seems to be sleepy all day.

Hello.

Does he have a disturbed sleep patter as well? Pinealoma interferes with the normal melatonin secretion.

The only option that appears to work is a repeat surgery and radiation. The second surgery may be done as a stereotactic radiation.
