Pins and Needles

Hi I injured my Left Foot at work about 2 weeks ago I've been for a x-ray & scan both came back clear but I have been experiencing Pins and Needles along my toes mainly the big toe, I can not bend my little toe or the one next to it I also have trouble bending the other 3. I also get a throbbing pain along my Left Foot which then travels up my ankle and then sometimes up the back of my leg,  it's like my foot is numb but still with some feelings, it's hard to describe but I know my foot just does not feel right. I find it hard to walk properly on my Left Foot as it starts to hurt a lot and I get tired. I feel that I don't have much feeling in my 2 small toes, I also every now and then get a sharp pain in my little toe.

I don't drink, smoke or have diabetes. the pain only started after twisting my foot at work. I will be seeing my Doctor on Monday this will give me something to discuss with her.

Thank you for your question. Although without being able to examine you I can not offer you the specific advice on diagnosis and treatment that you need, but I would try to provide you some relevant information about your health concern.

It sounds that this could be a circulatory disturbance (due to compression of blood vessels) or a nerve pinched in leg.  This may sometimes occurs due to any clots in blood vessels, excessive alcohol use or diabetes. I would suggest evaluating all the possibilities with the help of a doctor first. Further referral to a neurologist will surely help you in getting a more precise opinion here.
