Please help me..

Hi to all. This is my first post and I am hoping that someone could help me. Two weeks ago, I have been experiencing this left head discomfort-heaviness to be specific up to my left lower occiput and sometimes radiating to my upper left neck and some parts of my face. I tried to consult a neurologist and  I was told that this is migraine. I was kind of disappointed then because she prescribed me with PARACETAMOL to control the pain...I felt bad because as what I have said it's heaviness that I am feeling. I went to another neuro and I was prescribed with  Propranolol (Inderal). I have been asymptomatic for a week and the heaviness went back again. I had a plain cranial CT scan and waiting for the results. I am now taking Sibelium but I feel like it ain't working. Guys, all in all I have been experiencing this for three and a half months and truly it is bothering me.Can I have ur opinions please...

Migraine attacts are sometimes brought on by different lights.  I also get migraine headaches when I'm on the computer for long periods or watch T.V. or senstive to different lights. Migraines normally last 72 hours however, some people get tunnel vision or wavy lines and don't experience the pain! Tell your doctor your sympton and he can give you literature explaining different types of migraines.  I have suffered for years with them.  They seem to run in my family.  I hope mine will go away like my mother, sister and brothers went away...my sister will get tunnel vision after that passes and she can see she don't get the pain which is a blessing and she said her head feels so heavy.  I hope the migraines will go away and not show it's ugly face.  Good Luck!

Hi,
I agree with your neurologist's diagnosis.Your symptoms are because of migraine. You should continue Indral and if you feel severe heaviness or headache then use zomig nasal spray, its very effective in acute attack.

hi,

sibelium is used for long-term control of migraine (up to 2 months) so the effects might not still be apparent at this stage. after that, if it still has not improved, then you might need to switch to another medication.

have you checked your eyes lately? any eyesight problems may cause headaches. you should have your eyes checked for any "errors of refraction". you also should avoid bright lights when you're having a migraine attack. wear shades when outdoors. also, this works for me: hyperventilate (breathe deep and fast) for a few minutes during a migraine attack. you might feel a bit dizzy afterwards but it might help.
