Severe reocurring headaches

I am a 31 year old female, and for the last 4 months I have been having a extremely sharp headache w/ dull pain before and afterwords, (similar to a hangover, w/out the alcohol) everyday. Previous to this I rarely got headaches. I also have been having trouble "remembering" the word I want to use, or its more like I know the word I just can't get it out of my mouth, and I get really silent and I am concentrating very hard to "get this word out" Honestly I feel like I am retarded for a moment. (It can take more than 5 minutes at times to "get the word out" of my mouth). I take Neurontin for low back nerve pain, and Wellbutrin for PPD. (post partum depression). My husband is really worried, and I am too. I just don't think that I can handle nother tumor, (I had a benign one in my low back that was removed) but my head...constant dull pain, then every hour or more, severe, sharp, tearing pain that last for anywhere from 10 seconds, to 20 minutes)

Does anyone have any ideas I am afraid to go to Kaiser, and they just blow me off!

I have been on the same meds for about 3 years and have never had a problem. I don't think its that, but you never know. Its just real frusterating, but I will keep you posted.

Are they side-effects of the medication you're on, possibly? They could also be stress-induced migraines, something that can crop up at any point in your life. Of course, there is always the concern of a brain tumor, benign or otherwise. You should visit a neurologist as soon as possible to have the headaches diagnosed. If there is a real concern that you may have a cyst/tumor, then the neurologist will order an MRI or CT scan to rule this out. Headaches are much more likely to be the result of something like allergies or stress than a brain tumor/cyst, so I wouldn't worry until you've been checked out by a neurologist.

Good luck and keep us posted!
