Seems like it could be tonic pupil in which I have 2. Both eyes, I really wish I could find a doctor in Texas who could help. It's driving me nuts!
Unfortunately I do not. All I know is that Symbicort can cause many eye problems, and yours may be one of them. The only reason I am aware of this is that one of my friends is on it and has many visual disturbances from it, and it even states on the tv commercials for it that eye problems can be one of the adverse effects. I'm sure there is probably more information about specifics of the "eye/vision problems" somewhere on the web though. Since you are not on Symbicort, I truly would be clueless as to the reason for your pupillary anomaly, but perhaps the ophthalmologist could explain it to you better for giving he diagnosis of tonic pupil, when you follow up with him.
Hmm, really? That is so interesting! I am only on an oral contraception at this time.
So Symbicort can cause pupillary abnormalities? Is it specifically known to cause tadpole pupil, tonic pupil or pupil movement? Or all of what I am experiencing? Do you know any more about this or the mechanism by which Symbicort causes that side effect?
Thanks so much!
I have not heard of this before, but wonder...are you taking any medicines now? Some lung medications have been known to cause adverse effects such as what you are experiencing! Symbicort is one of them!
