Unexplainable head and neck pain

I started having mild neck pain in 2007 which was probably caused by lack of sleep due to loss of a close family member in July of 07, after which I had to work stressful 12 hours shifts which only increased the neck pain.  After that, I started having headaches and head pain on just the right side of my head and only one pressure point and it almost feels like a damaged nerve because when i try to massage it there is a sharp pain penetrating from the top of my head all the way down to my neck (mostly the right side) and it lingers on throbing like that for the entire day.  I can't sleep at night because my neck hurts and it feels like something is out of place which ever way i turn.  I feel tension in my neck and head and when i turn side ways it's like a burning sensation.  Sometimes I experience numbness in both my head and neck.  or a pain that feels like a sharp knife out of nowhere.  I feel like I am carrying a heavy object in my head because there is so much pressure that i have been dealing with for over a year now.  I am not depressed and don't have a stressful job anymore.  I get enough sleep, exercise, stretch regularly, drink lots of water and eat very healthy.  

I have been to massage therapy and physio therapy which is ongoing, had an x-ray of my jaw, had an MRI of both my head and neck and everything came back clear.  I feel like I am running around for no reason because everyone thinks I am just stressed out or depressed but I am not and have never experienced this pain before so I know that there is an explanation for this and a treatment which just hasn't been found yet.  Please advise.

Hello have you had a CSF analysis to rule out infection?

I have the same problem. My headaches and neck pain r so bad I can't sleep at night and when I do I can feel myslef twitching from the pain.also it feels like I have an ear infection but I don't. The dr doesn't know what's wrong and I meet need a cat scan soon bc this pain is too much

I FEEL THE EXACTTTT SAME WAY! worries me dat they can't tell me exactly what is wrong! but its comforting to know that im not the only one with those symptoms! stay strong
