Various symptoms

Hopefully I can get some opinions/answers on here. I am a 28yr old male, physically active, non-smoker, healthy lifestyle, ideal weight, and currently taking Pariet for GERD(Acid reflux). On no other meds.

I get this internal vibration feeling in my lower spine that gradually goes up my spine to the back of my head. The feeling is at it's worse on my lower spine, and back of the skull. Another way of describing it would be like boiling water in there. The boiling feeling also takes place in my whole upper body to a lesser extent. Mainly spine and back of the skull. I have persistent head pressure as well, the back of my head literally feels like my skull is trying to separate itself from my head. Nausea and dizziness is always there(which I have had for as long as I can remember)

Another weird sympton I am getting is the shock like feeling on the left side of my body near the kidney area. And when the pain hits( which is for 2 seconds max) I get the same shock like feeling on the top of my left foot. So just to clarify, at the exact moment I get a horrible shock in my kidney area and on the top of my foot. I know the nervous system runs down the left side of your body so something going on in there.

I have already begun seeing a GP and have undergone basic tests but I know my body more then anyone else out there and there is definately something going on.
So far I have done bloodwork, chest and skull X-Ray, Ultrasound,  and upper GI series. The skull X-ray came back as having muculosis around the entire skull, mainly the front and right side. Was referred to a Nose specialist who sent me to get a CT Scan of my sinuses.(Getting the test done today actually)
The upper GI showed moderate acid reflux(dont like the word moderate though, the heartburn I was having was anything but that)
Everything else negative.
I have an appointment with a neuro on the 17th where I will request a head and neck MRI.

Sorry for the rant above, hopefully someone can give me some insight into my situation. I appreciate any help or advice that is given, and I thank you in advance.

Thanks for your reply. When you say pinpoint the problem, how many different possible problems can it be? Based on the symptoms are there a few that you lean towards? Also, can you elaborate further on nerve compression problems...

I definately went through a stressful period last year and my body has not been the same since.

I did a B12 serum test 6 months ago which came back reading 335 pmol/L. I was taking a supplemement at the time containing B12, that obviously elevated that number correct? Is 335 considered low? Show I get retested? And if I am not mistaken the regular serum test is not enought to find/prove a defiency right? I forget the name of the additional tests that should be performed.

I know these questions can be answered by a Doc but I am looking for a new GP as we speak. I am on the waiting list for one from a reputable clinic. I have seen 3 different Docs in the last year and have had bad experiences with the help/care I received. To give you an example, for 6 months I kept complaining about the pain I had been getting under my chest, at the time I did not know what GERD was and thought it was my heart. They kept telling me the pain was anxiety and all they wanted to do was write me a prescription and move on with their day. I kept telling them food aggravated the pain, and I even brought in a list of foods I claimed was bothering me. They kept insisting anxiety. An upper GI later confirmed severe GERD. So 6 months of suffering for nothing....

Sorry for the rant.....Thanks

Hi there.

Regarding the shock like sensations, I believe that these may be a manifestation of some nerve compression problems.  The distribution of the shock like feelings (kidney area then towards the foot) outlines the course of major nerves that leaves the spine.  I agree with the neurologist consult and possibly do the imaging studies such as the MRI to help you and your doctors pinpoint the problem.  Other common causes would include stress and micronutrient deficiency (vitamin B).

Regards.
