daily Persistent Headache

I am 30 years old man suffering from daily persistent headache for years  concentrated on centre of forehead. NO FEVER, NO VOMIT, , MRI SCAN is normal.Its  generally Throbbing headache sometimes worse, but never goes always,



I have tried medicines as prescribed by Neurologist with absolutely no help.  Cap. Fulanrizine (calcium channel blocker) Tab. Vosograine (ergotamine,  caffeine, and prochlorperazine) Tab. wysolone (Predinosolone ) Cap. Betacap propranolol Tab. Alprax (Alprazolam) Tab xenobid  (Naproxen) Tab suminat (Sumatriptan) Tab. Amixide (chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline) Tab.Ciplactin (cyproheptadine) Tab. Rantac,  Tab. Epilex (Sodium volporate ) also one Injection Botox , but no change in nature & severity  of headache .

it is daily headache from the onset, no change in nature of headache for last 10 years, no sinus problem , No overusage  of analgesics medicine as  have not used any medicine for last three years  and tried message therapist ,aqua pressure, acupuncture , but again no change in nature of headache
Affecting my concentration & career as it is   persistent headache daily always for last 10 years. Concentrated on frontal forehead .Headache even after a sound sleep of 8 or more hours. Now I am very dejected . plz help .

I have other genetic medical issues but also have had severe headaches off-and-on for 10 years (at least I have an off).  A drug that have given me exceptional short-term relief is Fioricet.  I also HAVE to treat my chronic dry eye or headaches cannot be controlled . . . I would not have found this connection without a great opthamologist.  I have had menigitis three times in this period, so I truly understand a relenting headahe.  I have tried so many things, now I am on Inderal a few times a day for both a cardiac issue and relief of headaches.  It is working amazingly.  It had tried it before and it did not work, so some things with mild relief are worth trying again.

I love will power and positive thinking, and pretending everything is fine. This does not work for a true medical headache.  There are people out there who wrap themselves around their suffering and become only a sick person.  This is not how you seem at all.  I hope you can find some peace and relief from your suffering.  Sometime medications are your only choice for a medical issue.

Know how you are feeling. Have had a persistent headache & I mean PERSISTENT for the past 3 years after surgery to insert an etv (drain) into my brain. I have tried most of the meds that you have to no relief. My neurologist is now considering 'nerve block' injections to see if this will help.
No quality of life, tired all the time (even after 10 hrs sleep) and fed up and feel like crying.
I have posted this on several different forums to see if anyone can help.

I have quite a few ideas about what could be causing your headache.  I can't be more specific, because I don't know everything about you.  I hope you have a regular family physician that you visit, so he can narrow all this down.  I've put them in order of what I think is most likely or most crucial.

First, either you need new glasses or a change in your eyeglass prescription, because vision problems usually cause a headache, so see an optometrist.  

Second, it might be a blood pressure or circulatory problem, hypertension can cause wierd head sensations, so a family doc and then a cardiologist can explore all that.

Third, no matter what is going on, you must get some extensive bloodwork and labs done, to make sure you don't have diabetes, vitamin deficiency, anemia, infection, there are lots of tests, and an internal medicine doctor can sort through all that.  

Fourth, be sure about whether it's a cervical spine issue, pain can radiate up into the head from there, ask your neurologist.  

Fifth, could be the ENT operation didn't work out, so you may need another exam with one of those docs, and he can also doublecheck your ears and throat.  

Sixth is you may be allergic to something, so an allergist can do a workup on you.  

Seventh, there's lots of stuff in the workplace that can give you a headache, from the flickering flourescent lights, right down to the heating and air conditioning.

As for pain relief, I'd go for opiate derivative drugs, you can stay on the same dose for a long time and most are not as dangerous as some think, altho docs hate to prescribe that stuff.

but my mri is normal and already consulted a ent for suspected sinus problem . who even operated me because . there was no change in headache he then  referred to nuerology.

now waht to do?  i am in great pain

I might suggest seeing an ENT and asking about "contact point headaches"
