Legs squeeze, cramp, stiff 4 months post op l4/l5 spinal fusion

I had a TLIF spinal fusion and laminectomy (the disc was completely removed) at L4/L5 on Dec. 28, 2016.  I am almost 19 weeks post op and as a result, my right foot drop is almost resolved and left sided back ache is gone.  However now I have new discomfort from the incision sites down the back of my legs....that whole area is very stiff and tight. The right side also aches at times just below the incision site near the sacral bone (near the dimpled area) going into the right buttocks.  I go to physical therapy, swim, walk outside or on a treadmill at no incline, and have now introduced the stairmaster a couple times a week (I make sure to stay upright on this machine and do not lean over).  When I briskly walk outside or on the treadmill, the backs of my legs start squeezing a lot....it feels like the circulation is getting cut off.  Will this symptom eventually go away? Is this a normal symptom during recovery? I will appreciate any feedback.
