leg pain with elevated cpk levels following a fever

I have a child that on three separate occassions had a high fever and after her fever broke, she had sever calf pain and was unable to walk.  The last episode they tested her cpk levels and they were a little over 2500.  Does anyone have any helpful information please post.

Thanks,

I realize your post is from 09', but I am wondering if you have received any answers? I'm in the same situation. My child who will be 11 in a few months has had on 3 separate occasion a high fever followed by severe calf pain preventing him from walking. The last episode was just a few days ago. This time I insisted on blood work. among others a CPK was ordered. The first result came back at a level 7385. About 45 hrs later a second test was done and levels had dropped to 2477. I am still waiting on the pathology review. I am looking for help. I appreciate it if you could share the information you found out about your daughter. Thank you!
