mild brain injury after accident?

I was rear-ended by a semi that was doing 55mph and I can't remember the first couple minutes after I was hit.  My father says I called him crying saying I was in a accident but I didnt know where I was at.  I'm in physical therapy for my spine and upper back currently.  Besides that pain I've started to have tremors in my left hand when resting, sleep apnea where I wake up feeling like my heart has stopped and I just don't feel right mentaly.  I was terminated at work for violating a safety procedure which I have never done before, I keep forgeting things like appointments, birthdays etc. I have started to get angry really easy and a bit depressed (which I thought was just dealing with insurance, physical therapy etc).  I'm going to tell my doc today what I'm feeling but I feel embarrased because I don't want anyone to think i'm overreacting or looking to "beef up" my lawsuit.  Has anyone ever dealt with this or have any advice for me.  I appreciate any help.

I was taken in for regular xrays after the accident all which showed no damage minus vertibral step off at c3 through c7 and straightening of the spine.  I really would like a MRI done but do I just tell my doctor I would like to have one done to rule out brain damage?

Hello lonewolf2424

It seems that there has been some trauma and impact on the brain as well. Did you get the MRI or CT scan immediately after the trauma? Was there any bleeding from nose, ear or elsewhere? I suggest you get a scan and neurological assessment done to rule out any pathology. If there is a blood clot then it has to be managed medically or surgically.
