sudden facial spasm slurred speech

I am one year post craniotomy metastatic brain tumor (lung cancer) and three months post Gamma Knifes. MRI last week showed no new growths. Small tumor becoming smaller since Gamma Knife in October 2007. Today, while lecturing (college) I suddenly had a facial spasm and slurred speech. It lasted ten minutes, eye twitching, right side of face moving and speech really unintelligible. Scared me. Is this possibly a seizure or mini stroke? Should I have an EEG even though the episode is now over? Thanks so much

Carol

Hello.

This does not appear to be a seizure. A seizure does not last for so long. I suspect it was a pressure effect or a transient ischemic attack. You May still go on and have an EEG just to be sure.
