The reason I asked is that taking antibiotics can cause chronic fatigue. They kill off the beneficial flora that make up part of your immune system, and if they aren't replenished things just deteriorate. You might want to discuss this with your holistic doc.
Thanks! I've been to a holistic doctor and I've been to a pediatrician. I'm working with a personal trainer at a gym to do 20-30 minutes of light exercise a day. They havent really said if I should be losing weight at the moment or not.
I have used a lot of antibiotics in the past because I have consistently had health problems but I haven't been taking antibiotics for just over a year.
Thanks for your help :)
Calories have little to do with trying to lose weight. What's more important is how you digest a particular food. Calories are not irrelevant, but nearly so. How you metabolize foods will not be the same for everyone -- some people can eat a lot of meat without gaining weight, some can't eat much at all -- it's all in the digestion. Given you say you have chronic fatigue and think you have weight problems, I'd suggest that if your parents can afford it a visit to a naturopath or holistic nutritionist or practitioner of integrated medicine is in order to tailor a program to you to attack both problems. By the way, were you on a lot of antibiotics at any time before this started?
