My tastebuds are changing, heeeeeelllp!

So .. I'm 35yo female who's definitely not pregnant .. but about a month ago, for no obvious reason, my tastebuds suddenly changed, so much so that I can no longer tolerate vino, and have wasted many bottles over the christmas holidays just testing my tastebuds out.

Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not an alcoholic! But I do like wines. I'm a member of wine club, have a collection of high quality wine and I enjoy nothing more than sharing a bottle of wine over dinner or snacks.

Now I cant even tolerate wine I'm upset & worried.

What could have caused this? And more importantly, how can I fix it?

Many thanks!

My heart goes out to you.  I love my wine, and would be devastated too.  Perhaps you have developed some form of dysgeusia.  Many causes for this, some as simple as zinc deficiency and others a bit more complicated:

See you doctor for diagnosis.  When sudden changes occur in life, my guess it is best to pay attention to them.

Good luck and I wish the best for you.

Why bother?  I don't like Milk Duds anymore, so I don't eat them.  We change.  Take a vacation from wine and maybe it will come back, but it's only a beverage you've made into something more.  Try tequila.  I'm not being snide here, this is just a common thing in life for it to change, including our tastes in what we consume.
