That sounds like a severe lactic acid build-up, though I'm not claiming expertise here. That would indicate a lack of antioxidants or an inability to use them. Exercise always causes inflammation, in everyone, but with proper antioxidants and not overdoing it it goes away, and if you overdo it, as most of us athletic types do, then eventually it never goes away. But for you, you probably just need to move up in very tiny increments, if at all, but I certainly don't want you to hurt. If that's the case it's going to be very hard to alter your metabolism, which is necessary to lose weight. Calories are a very small piece of weight -- metabolism is the biggest piece. I hope you find a way out.
Eggplant lasagna is the name of the recipe but contains no lasagna noodles just vegetables and cheese. Exercise intolerance does not mean I am not willing to learn it means that due to my hypothyroid condition exercise does not affect me like it does normal people, in me it causes an inflammatory reaction that physically hurts me there is no getting used to it. I have to accept pain and feeling bad for hours after exercise I have been that way for a long time. It doesn't mean I don't exercise though I try to incorporate walking 5 days a week. For some reason my metabolism is just stopped.
Thanks for the helpful advice. What you say is exactly what I am doing. I am making a lifestyle change. I am comitted however the weight is not budging even after a month and a half of doing this. I thought I would come on here before paying the 175.00 to see the nutritionist but the advice is so conflicting. I have decided to pay the money to see if I can find the root of this problem because I simply don't understand how I could eat what I was eating and not gain or lose and drastically change and still not lose. Maybe I have insulin resistance.
What everyone eats if it's good, bad or whatever is a diet!
"diet is the sum of food consumed by a person or other organism. Dietary habits are the habitual decisions an individual or culture makes when choosing what foods to eat".
YOU DO NOT NEED A DIET PEOPLE!!! You need a life style change. Eat right and Exercise is the key. It didn't take you 2 weeks to put on that weight and it will take you time to get it off. I KNOW
Key points:
1. Eat small meals 5 or 6 times a day
2. Log EVERYTHING you put in your mouth and your daily weight (MyFitnessPal)
3. Eat from the perimeter of the store (fresh fruits, veggies and good lean protein) the middle if filled with processed foods that will not help you
4. Exercise a few times a week and increase as times and intensity as you progress. Switch it up from time to time.
Now you do need an eating plan:
1. Avoid Dairy it bloats you (1 serving of Yogurt, but watch our serving size)
2. Good lean proteins at least the size and thickness of the palm of your hand 3 times a day.
3. 3 Veggies and 3 Fruits but stay with 1 serving and low on the glycemic index.
4. Carbs.... twice a day nothing processed (NO BREAD OR PASTAS) instead choose 1 serving of Yams, red potatoes, whole grain rice.
5. Watch what you put on your foods. The hidden trap is adding extra sodium and fat by putting the wrong dressing or sauce to your good food.
6. A small amount of butter is better than stuff like margarine.
7. Drink Green tea and lots of water.
8. Get your sleep
I am a fitness professional for almost 20 years that at the age of 47 just lost 25 lbs after 2 kids, a divorce and hormones gone wild. This is not a diet you will go on, you need to commit yourself to a life style change.
Also once you get the hang of this, you can have 1 small cheat a month.
First off, Gymdandee is right -- the applesauce alone is very high in sugar. Plus you're eating five meals a day yet you say you do little exercise to burn it off, so why do you need five meals a day? And when you say you have little tolerance for exercise, well, everything we do has to be learned. Humans gotta move or nothing burns off. Also, you say you're not eating wheat, but you say you're eating lasagna. Unless this is some form of lasagna I know nothing about it's got white flour in it, which is like eating sugar. Now, if there is no flour of any kind, it's not lasagna, so that would be different. Now, unlike Gymdandee I'm not going to tell you to eat a so-called Mediterranean Diet because there is no such thing -- there are many diets from that part of the world and whether any of them are appropriate for you depends on how you personally digest food. I would personally try and find a holistic nutritionist, not the ones your doctor will recommend (unless you think what they serve in hospitals is good for you) to help you learn what works for you.
Check with you doctor and see if you can be set up with a nutritionist or a diabetes clinic that can help you figure out the best step to take. Check out the Canada Food guide and follow it. Remember the more work that your body has to do to break down the food you eat the better. Whole grains are the best and whole foods are the best. I applaud you for trying to make a difference in your life. The Diabetes Assoc of Canada also has a lot of information that might help you on there website. Don't get discouraged. Remember it didn't take you overnight to get to this point and it will take some time to get healthy.
I did give you advice! The Mediterranean diet!
wow.......that wasn't encouraging at all. i thought i was doing so much better from my previous fast food and candy diet and i still have people telling me my diet is awful. Is there anyone out there who can relate to me and give me some helpful advice?
Your diet is awful!! Check all the sugar that's in all the fruits and tomato sauce has about 6 teaspoons of sugar in 1 cup. eggplant, most of the carbohydrate contents of eggplant is from sugar 32 grams/cup of cooked eggplant. unsweetened applesauce contains over 11g. of sugar.
Try the following diet Mediterranean
