Same answer -- too many theories out there. And it depends on your lifestyle -- for example, if you exercise a lot, particularly with weight or resistance training, you need more protein. If not, most Americans already eat too much protein, not too little, but most currently trendy weight loss programs, none of which has been proven to work long-term, emphasize a lot of protein. I'd just say, eat less, exercise more, and eat more of what you know is healthy -- colored vegetables, fatty wild fish, whole grains when you eat grain, limited amounts of processed foods, limited sugar -- you know the drill. You lose weight slowly, which stays off, and you get the nutrients you need so your body isn't craving more food. But I don't believe there's a magic formula as I've just seen too many ratios come and go over the years to say anyone knows exactly what the answer is.
weight loss and healthy eating.
