how many Calories should a woman have in a day?

I'm part of the berthed weight loss challenge, according to my coach I should not exceed 1200calories, however the "my diet diary" says I'm entitled to 2100, so who is correct?

There is no correct answer to this question, as the above post mentions.  People aren't generalizations; they differ in their metabolism, what they eat, their activity levels.  Calories are also not the measure that is best for maintaining a healthy weight -- it's a factor, but most recent research and thought focuses much more on what you eat and how well you metabolize it than on calories.  If we want to lose weight and maintain it and be as healthy as possible, we all need to move beyond calories.

This depends on your height, age and the amount you would like to weigh. If you're relying on the app and entered your current weight... the app will give you the amount of calories you need to maintain your current weight not your goal weight.
