Hip implant removal yes or no?

So here is my problem. 3 years ago my grandmother had a hip replacement surgery, but the prosthetic implant has moved and now she has much pain and the implant can be touched like a ball on the skin and on that place the skin is red. They say the skin can be damaged.. I would like to know if it is better to remove it or let it there and take pain killers because the doctors let the decision to us.
She had an myocardial infarction about 10 years ago, she had a Carcinoma mammae removed about 7 years ago and she also had two cerebral infarction's one of them was of an thromb embolism after the Ca surgery  .
She is 73 years old. The doctors didn't tell anything about thrombosis and embolism but I've read that the risk is high after this operations.
So if you could tell me the risks and pros and cons of an removal of the prosthetic implant I would be very thankful.
I really don't know why such a decision is let to us but that's it  and we don't have much time to choose.

Also here is a X-ray image of the hip as god as i could take a photo of it at home.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there!

Well, it would be difficult to comment specifically on the situation without knowing the relevant clinical details or a detailed clinical evaluation. On the x-ray the prosthesis does appear to have moved secondary to further degeneration and if kept in place could lead to potential complications, though I am not sure if a re-replacement would be an option in the situation. On the other hand a surgery would also be associated with potential risks, given her medical history. It would be best to discuss the situation and the pros and cons of either in detail with her treating orthopedician and anesthesiologist before deciding on a management plan.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
