Broken Foot, is it absolutely nec. for x-ray

I was wearing shoes with no support for about 2 weeks, 2 months ago and standing for long periods of time.  I soon began to have tingling and numbness in my left foot and toes. The tingling and numbess have gone and I did see a doctor.  However, my foot is still swollen and it hurts badly between too of foot and toes, toes are swollen too.  I can hardly put on a shoe.

Is it possible I had a sprain and it turned into a break.  I did turn my foot during that two week period.  If it were a sprain it should have healed by know with rice.

What do you suggest?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
If you have a  ligament sprain you cannot heal till you have adequate rest. I advise you to visit an orthopaedician, go for an X-ray, diagnosis of your problem and treatment . Change to proper foot wear. Take care!
