PAO Hip Surgery

Hello,

I am having a PAO (Periacetabular Osteotomy) to correct hip dysplasia in February. They are also scoping to determine if my labrum is repairable or not (MRI shows it is very frayed and worn). I know this is a major surgery and my doctor and his team have done an excellent job answering my questions regarding surgery and length of recovery.

What I am interested in is hearing from others who have had this surgery done, what items did you have at home that made things easier (ex pillows, benches) and what things did you wish you had post-op. I am trying to be as prepared as I can be as I live alone.

Thanks!
