Pelvic fractures, torn hamstring and recovery

Four weeks ago I was in a high speed motorcycle accident. I was dragged 80 ft under the bike, and thrown 40 ft into a ravine where I hit a tree.

I was diagnosed with a double pelvic fracture (stable) by xray and ct scan(one is pubic, not sure where the other one was).
I had sooo much pain in my leg, but due to my head injury/nonsense talk and the obvious pelvis and hand dislocation injuries -  nobody listened to me. 5 days (swelling, bruising) later it was discovered I had a nasty partial tear of my hamstring.

So far they have not done anything. lately I have been walking .5 kms morning and night, just because I have to do something and I do not want to limp. I do not get to see the ortho for my pelvis for another week - but he said no physio or rehab for that or my hamstring until I see him.

My question is, is this normal? I mean I only spent a few hours in the hospital and I have not even really been looked at since. My ribs, which hurt me from day one, have gotten really bad the last week - I plan to see the clinic tomorrow.

I am mostly worried about the healing of my pelvis and hamstring. The massive bruise from my hamstring is now almost gone, but the lump of severed tissue is still there, it still hurts to walk...my pelvis still kills me, esp after a day of walking or at night its almost unbearable.

I feel like I should be havine some kind of physio or rehab before heaing so long?

No ideas anyone? It seems half of what I read says weight bearing is good, and so is physio.

they had me with a walker when I first left the hosp, I used it for two weeks but it was cumbersome as I also had a half cast on my left hand so it was not easy to manouver.  I started the walking about two weeks ago. I still have alot of  trouble getting dressed, getting in and out of bed etc.

I just wonder if I should be in physio (two clinic doctors told me to go, even tho the orthopedic said no), or if I should be doing something for the hamstring too. Its really frrustration as the accident happened in a different city, and bec ause  it was a MVA no doctors in my own town really want to even look at me. I have to wait until the out of town doctors are avail etc.

I should add that my pelvis is cracking/clunking all the time. I am currently taking Tramacet only when I can afford it, once or twice a day, and one ibprofen in the morning.
